It was a very good weekend for "Guardians of the Galaxy"; not only did it reclaim the No. 1 spot at the box office after two weeks, but in the process became the highest-grossing movie of the summer.

"Guardians" took in an estimated $17.6 million this weekend, giving it a grand total of nearly $252 million domestically.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" dropped down to second place with $16.8 million, followed close behind by "If I Stay", debuting in third with $16.3 million.

"Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For". crashed and burned in its opening weekend, debuting in eighth place with a meager $6.4 million.
