Well, I knew it was going to happen. Eventually we were going to mess around and build a bunch of kill bots. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time, but giving computer is the ability to kill is a terrible idea.

In case you haven't seen the Terminator, or The Matrix, or Short Circuit, or Transformers, or War Games, or Tron, or the thousands of other movies that completely and totally warned us against letting computers take over, it can only end badly.

And believe me, it's already happening. If you don't have one already, in a few years you'll have an appliance that tells you when to buy things. I'm talking about a refrigerator that tells you when to buy milk, or maybe a washing machine that tells you when to grab some more detergent. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but in reality you're taking orders from a machine. How long before it starts telling you what time to be at work, and where to work, and what to wear when you get there?

The reason I bring this up is that some scientists thought it would be a good idea to teach an AI program how to play the video game Doom. And it doesn't just play it, it plays it extremely well against human players.  Especially on a mode Called Death Match. Literally the only point of this game is to kill all of the humans. If you're a scientist and you work in this field, could we possibly work on getting robots to deliver our food instead of enslaving us? Just consider it a personal favor for me and the rest of humanity

Check out all of the details here, but don't be surprised when the robot police show up.
