Hilary Duff will be 30 in just a few short months, but in a new interview with Buzzfeedyou'd swear she was still the same preteen Lizzie McGuire sweetheart who retched at the idea of doing Disney Channel promo.

In November 2016, early-aughts footage of Duff and fellow Disney co-stars like Raven-Symone surfaced that found the starlets irritatedly shooting a series of Disney Channel commercials (more specifically, those iconic wand-wave spots). And yesterday (July 10), Duff explained during a game of Giant Jenga that it wasn't her fault she might have appeared ornery: she was shooting all day and had virtually no idea what she was doing.

"I think I had shot the beginning of Lizzie McGuire with all those bouncy balls, and I was like, What is this-last minute thing?" she said. "It’s so good. It’s, like, Hilary with a lot of attitude. Like, What are they making me do? But now I’m happy to do it, because that was hilarious."

And then, magically, she did it again.

"And then they made us do it like 900 times," she added. "And I think I like lost all personality at that point. Plus, I was, like, a pubescent teen — I was like, What are they making me do, this is invisible!"

Duff first spoke to the awkward ads during a March interview with POPSUGAR.

“So many people were like ‘Oh, my gosh, this is the most awkward thing ever,” Duff said. “They put all the animation in later, so you’re just, like, having to imagine that it’s real. And you do it one-hundred times in a million different ways — all of us were, like, kids working adult hours so I’m sure we were, like, kind of fed up.”
