Bossier City Says Goodbye: Hooters at the Boardwalk Closes Permanently
If your favorite place to get wings and an ice-cold beer is Hooters at the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City, you have to find a new spot to meet with the crew.
Hooters at the Boardwalk in Bossier Has Officially Closed Its Doors
According to KTBS, Hooters' lease ran out, and they don't plan to renew or negotiate a new lease. The crew at Hooters thanked the Bossier community for 20 years of support in a press release obtained by KTBS.
The crew at Hooters encouraged Shreveport-Bossier residents to make their way over to other Hooters locations in Louisiana. The nearest Hooters is in Baton Rouge. Could we be seeing the end of the Hooters era?
Hooters Filed for Bankruptcy in March of 2025
According to CNN.com, "Hooters said it will continue to operate its business as usual." Hooters added that the company would have to evaluate the “company’s operational footprint,” specifically for all the company-owned locations. That is why the Bossier location was quick to say that they had not filed for bankruptcy; their lease just ran out. We knew that the company would probably have to close some locations during its bankruptcy process, but we didn't anticipate one of the last few Hooters in Louisiana to be on the chopping block for an unrelated reason.
