‘How I Met Your Mother’ Spin-Off In The Works

A source tells E! News that CBS is in talks with "How I Met Your Mother" executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas to create a new spinoff series from the popular sitcom.

Despite rumors that the new series might star the "Mother", played by Cristin Milioti, Deadline reports that the proposed spinoff will center around a new group of friends including a new lead female character searching for a possible husband, with the original gang's hangout, MacLaren's Pub, linking both groups.

CBS has yet to comment on the report.
