Excitement Surrounding Shreveport's Newest Football Team is Building Up.

Shreveport Mudbugs Scott Muscutt has been loudly cheering on Shreveport's newest minor league team. Who better than to cheer on a new team in town than the Mudbugs crew right? What does our favorite hockey team have in common with the newest minor league football team? They'll both call the Hirsch's collusium home.

The Rouxgaroux is a member of the National Arena League (NAL). According to the Shreveport Bossier Journal, The Rouxgaroux will kick off their first season next March. There will be 10 regular season games, five of which will be home games on a 50-yard field.

The Rouxgaroux plan to do it big with a dance line, cheerleaders, and a "hype" person. Several people in the community think that this is something that our community needs and we love seeing another minor league team in town.

Keith Carter a local businessman is the proud local owner of The Rouxgaroux and he is encouraging the community to not just watch but to get involved. You can buy your season tickets on Tuesday, August 27th.

The Rouxgaroux crew showed off merch and information on purchasing season tickets. This Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm people will go to George’s Pond to get in on the presale action for platinum and gold season tickets.
