For the last few years, Wallethub has released a study of about 180 of the most populated cities in America. The study analyzes how healthy each city is by measuring available public fitness and medical data.

In 2023, Shreveport ranked 180th out of 182 cities when ranked by healthiest to least healthy. In the same study from 2022, WalletHub placed Shreveport slightly higher, at 176th place. Going back to 2021, Shreveport was 179th place.

Shreveport placed as the second worst for statistics under the food rank. Shreveport's best ranking statistics were in Health Care, ranking at 162nd best, and next best in Green Space, ranking 160th.
