See How To Rid Your Louisiana Land Or Yard Of Vermin
According to Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, pests that invade the landscape of Louisiana come in a number of shapes, sizes and species.

They range from beavers and nutria to alligators, feral hogs, bats, squirrels, mice, rats, even coyotes and armadillos.
If You Live Out In The Sticks, You Know How Bad It Can Be
Those living on or around lakes or ponds or anywhere in rural areas, are all too familiar with the devastation these "vermin" can wreak on lawns or property. However, many don't realize that some of this devastation is actually preventable.
That prevention or control of these pests is exactly what wildlife biologist and author David Moreland will discuss this coming Tuesday, August 22nd, at a free workshop at the Bossier Parish Libraries History Center, 2206 Beckett Street in Bossier City.
Moreland certainly knows what he is talking about as he is a retired wildlife biologist with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries where he served as State Deer Biologist for 13 years and as Chief of the Wildlife Division for three years. Moreland is also a regular contributor for the Louisiana Sportsman magazine.
While the workshop is free to attend, space will be limited and because they will serve food, participants will need to pre-register to attend. Just call or text (318) 237-8350 and provide contact information and the name of the workshop.
