13 Hilarious Signs Summer’s Early in Louisiana
Okay, whoever made Mother Nature mad, can you apologize? And do it quickly!

I got some kind of notification on my computer from The Weather Channel that temperatures would be "dropping" by next Tuesday or Wednesday and I have to admit it made me chuckle.
The First Day of Summer Isn't Until June 20
Yes, temps are supposed to drop, and I'm not complaining, but with forecasted highs on those days in the low to mid 80's, and that's a "drop", then you know it's hot.
We have already seen high temperatures in the last few days in the mid 90's and we're still over a month away from summer since that doesn't occur until June 20.
It's not like we don't see temperatures much hotter than this every summer, but for crying out loud, it's just the middle of May.
And predictions for this summer are daunting. One of my favorite sources for weather related issues is "The Old Farmer's Almanac" and they are saying that "It’s going to be a scorcher of a summer."
Last summer (2024), Americans endured one of the hottest summers on record, with a nationwide average temperature of 73.8°F, or 2.5°F above normal. It was also Earth's hottest summer since global records began in 1880, barely surpassing 2023’s record.
The summer of 2025 is shaping up to be just as intense.... expect hotter-than-normal temperatures across most of the U.S., except for the Northwest and southern Florida.
We Ain't Skeered Of A Little Heat Wave
So, where's the humor in all of this? We've got to laugh or it'll get the best of us. A friend of mine told me that his air conditioner has only come on once so far this year. He said it came on last week and he'll tell me when it finally shuts off.
It's just that hot! (Scares me to think that maybe Al Gore wasn't a total goof ball)
Course, here in the Bayou State, we know how to handle bad weather. For crying out loud, we throw parties while looking straight into the eye of a hurricane, so some little heat wave doesn't scare us.
