Three Days Of Traffic Nightmare In North Bossier Starts Today
If my memory serves me correctly, once upon a time it was reported that the most traveled parish road in all of Bossier Parish was Airline Drive.
Obviously I-20 is a United States highway so it doesn't qualify. And Benton Road is a Louisiana highway, so it's not actually a parish road either. That leaves the dreaded Airline Drive as the overall winner (or loser) of this traffic designation.
So, when there is an accident or anything that impedes the already normally snail's pace traffic on Airline, the headache nears crisis level.
And our newest "crisis" will actually last for three days, beginning today, Tuesday, July 11.
According to the Bossier Parish Police Jury and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, intermittent lane closures on Airline Drive and Wemple Road, at the intersection of Airline and Wemple are scheduled to begin today.
Also, intermittent lane closures on Old Brownlee Road at its intersection with Wemple Road have been planned.
Work will include new signage, cross walk modifications and striping associated with the North Bossier Shared Use Trail, Phase II and is expected to last approximately three days.
