Best Things to Do in North Bossier This Weekend: Raccoon Bend Farms
One of my absolute favorite Saturday morning traditions is officially back, and you need to add it to your weekend plans ASAP!
If you haven't discovered the magic of Raccoon Bend Farms in North Bossier yet, you are seriously missing out on a local treasure.
In the springtime, this gorgeous property transforms into a vibrant, U-Pick flower paradise. I had the absolute best time picking flowers with my friends last time, and trust me, it’s the perfect way to kick off a sunny weekend.
The prices are unbeatable: U-Pick flowers are four for $1.00, massive sunflowers are just $1.00 each, and they have stunning pre-made bouquets available for $12.00. Beyond the blooms, I actually discovered my deep love for local cottage bakers here (they make the yummiest, most gooey cinnamon rolls you’ve ever tasted!). Plus, the farm is loaded with fresh herbs and homegrown produce.

So, how did this dream spot pop up right on Airline Drive? It’s all thanks to Lee and Alicia DuCote. They took a journey through Tennessee and Arkansas to study sustainable living and regenerative farming before bringing that knowledge back home.
They completely transformed a 21-year-old horse barn into a gorgeous barndominium and turned the pasture into market-produce gardens using strictly organic practices, no chemical pesticides or GMOs allowed here! Alicia, who holds a master’s in exercise science, infuses her passion for clean eating and holistic wellness into everything the farm touches.
Grab your friends and go check it out! They are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 5217 Airline Dr. in Bossier City. Have you experienced this fun farm yet?
