You Need To Know This Bossier I-20 Exit Ramp Will Soon Be Closed
While it isn't something that we haven't experienced previously, the traffic congestion these situations bring is usually as pleasant as a root canal.
Of course we should be thankful that officials are concerned with our overall safety and well-being, but the thought of interrupting traffic during some of the peak travel times on one of Bossier City's busiest exit ramps promises to be a traffic nightmare.
In a statement released yesterday by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development we learn that this coming Wednesday, June 28, the I-20 eastbound off-ramp bridge to LA 3 (Benton Road) in Bossier City will be closed for routine bridge inspection.
This ramp closure is scheduled to take place from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
According to DOTD, this is a total ramp closure and all vehicles will need to detour.
As with all projects performed by the DOTD, the work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING so please understand that inclement weather could extend or postpone the planned closure.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
