Today may be August 1st, but the summer isn't over yet...

Do you have an upcoming road trip through Texas? I'm getting pretty excited about one in a couple of weeks. I haven't had a chance to visit our family lake house yet this summer, and it's been calling my name. I can't wait to dip my toes in the water and enjoy the sunset with a cold one.

If you've still got a summer trip through Texas on the horizon, add a few of our state's most iconic landmarks to your journey!

Check out 24 of the coolest Texas landmarks in the gallery below:

I think Big Bend National Park is one of the neatest places on earth. I've been there a few times and I'm ready to go back! I highly recommend checking it out if you are anywhere in the area. Another one of my favorites from the list is Jacob's Well in Wimberly. It's so deep, it gives you the creeps - but in a good way! It's a must-see.

If you don't get around to seeing all of these iconic landmarks this summer, that's okay. I have a feeling they will be here for years to come...
