One of the charges that keeps popping up in Angelina County is evading arrest with a vehicle. That translates into several more weekly police chases, pit maneuvers, and hands-on takedowns than you would think.

There were two such arrests during the week of June 2nd through June 8th. Though journalists often describe the City of Los Angeles as the "car chase capital of the world" Texas as a whole has to be right behind them when looking at the statistics.

Additional Charges Add Up If You Flee From Law Enforcement

Even if you manage to escape capture by running from the police in a vehicle, they likely have the license plate number, and will eventually capture you.
