I’m convinced Texas is home to the worst drivers on the planet.

Not that it’s much of a stretch to assume we have more bad drivers than other states. I consistently see studies like this one that rank drivers in the Lone Star State among the worst.

And let’s face it – there's plenty of video evidence to support the notion we have the worst drivers.

The latest piece of video evidence is the video below. Rather than do the smart thing and pull over after having an accident, the driver just kept on rolling along, tearing up the pavement in their wake.

One possible explanation is that the driver is either high as a kite or drunk off their ass. That would explain why they’re trying desperately to flee the scene. I guess they figured causing additional damage to the car is better than getting a DUI.

Or it could be that they simply didn’t want to be late for something. The caption on the video said it happened on Valentine’s Day, so there’s the possibility they didn’t want to end up in the doghouse for being late for a romantic evening with their significant other.

We’ll probably never know why the driver was cruising down the interstate on a rim. But we can all rest assured that it won’t be the last time it happens in our neck of the woods.
