Caddo Correctional Center Booking Photos August 31st- September 6th

We had 48 inmates booked in to Caddo Correctional Center this week for several different crimes.

It seemed this week, several of those booked in to CCC were booked due to instances of Domestic Violence.

Domestic violence (also referred to as intimate partner violence (IPV), dating abuse, or relationship abuse) is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship.

Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate. People of any race, age, gender, sexuality, religion, education level, or economic status can be a victim — or perpetrator — of domestic violence. That includes behaviors that physically harm, intimidate, manipulate, or control a partner or otherwise force them to behave in ways they don’t want to. This can happen through physical violence, threats, emotional abuse, or financial control.

Among those booked this week is Andrew Adaway. Adaway was charged, in 2022 of the murder of an inmate while booked in the Shreveport City Jail.

Adaway is suspected of beating 73 year-old inmate Bobbie Young to death while in a jail cell.

Earlier reports indicated 35-year-old Andrew Adaway was in a holding cell with Bobbie Young when the pair allegedly started brawling in the lockup. That fight resulted in a trip to the hospital for Young. He took a turn for the worse and did not survive his injuries.

He is now being held in the Caddo Correctional Center.
