Caddo Deputy Arrested for Sneaking Contraband in to CCC

A Caddo Parish Correctional Deputy has been arrested for smuggling contraband into the jail.

Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. stated that, following an ongoing investigation, it was determined that Kevina Maxie was caught bringing drug paraphernalia into the detention center and selling it to the inmates.

She has been employed with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office since March 2024.

Maxie was arrested at the Caddo Correctional Facility while working overtime on her day off. She was charged with one count of malfeasance in office and one count of taking contraband to or from a penal institution.

Subsequently, she was booked into the Caddo Correctional Facility on the aforementioned charges.
