Shreveport Police Investigating Caddo's 73rd Homicide

A man mortally wounded at a southeast Shreveport apartment complex early Sunday, November 12, 2023, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Kenmorria Kendrick, 28, of Shreveport, was shot several times in the parking lot of the Orleans Square Apartment in the 8500 block of South Broadmoor's Chalmette Drive.

The shooting occurred at 1:43 a.m. Kendrick was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds at 3:29 a.m.

Mr. Kendrick was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.

The slaying, the 73rd in Caddo Parish to date in 2023 and the 68th in Shreveport proper, remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department, to which further inquiries should be directed.

An autopsy was ordered.
