SHREVEPORT, LA-  Intoxicated Man Arrested for Assaulting Woman and Police Officers

On June 9, Shreveport police officers responded to a call reporting assault and battery in the 6300 block of River Road. A distressed female had reported that her boyfriend had just attempted to run her over with a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers identified the suspect as 40-year-old Jeffrey Hiscock, who was found to be intoxicated. During the process of taking him into custody, Hiscock became combative, head-butting one of the officers. Despite his resistance, officers managed to subdue him, but not before he kicked another officer in the face.

Hiscock has been arrested and charged with the following offenses:

• - Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment
• - Felony Domestic Abuse Battery
• - Felony Battery on a Police Officer
• - Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated

Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith commended the officers for their perseverance and professionalism in handling the situation. “Attacks on our officers will not be tolerated," Chief Smith stated. "Their dedication and hard work in this case are commendable.”
