Shreveport Police released a statement from Chief Wayne Smith:

“This operation sends a clear message,” said Chief Wayne Smith. “When our community speaks up about violence, guns, and narcotics, we listen—and we act. Through strong partnerships with our local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, we are aggressively targeting those who threaten the safety of our neighborhoods. If you choose to bring violence and illegal drugs into Shreveport, understand this: we will find you, and we will hold you accountable.”
