Shooting at a Shreveport Bar That Injured a Man is Under Investigation

Last night, Shreveport Police Officers working an off-duty detail on Marshall Street advised dispatch that a shooting had just occurred at the location.

When additional units got to the scene, Officers found a 19 year-old man with several gunshot wounds to his lower body. Shreveport Fire Department medics rendered aid to the man before taking the victim to Ochsner LSU Health with possible life-threatening injuries.

Detectives responded to both the scene and the hospital to continue the investigation. Crime Scene Investigators also processed the area for evidence.

Medical staff told detectives that the victim was in stable condition after being treated for multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen.

SPD is facing a frustrating investigation because there were many people at the location of the shooting, but nobody is coming forward with information that could lead to an arrest.
