Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Assault in a Behavioral Facility

Last week, Shreveport Police were called to Desoto Street in reference to an assault and battery.

When SPD got to the scene, they made contact with the victim, a healthcare worker employed at a behavioral hospital. The victim told Police that the suspect, Samantha Dillard, got angry over a tray of food.

Dillard allegedly grabbed the tray and threw it toward the victim before hitting her in the face. The victim stated that Dillard scratched her multiple times, leaving injuries.

Responding officers saw scratches and swelling on the victim’s face and neck consistent with the reported assault.

As a result of the investigation, SPD placed Dillard under arrest and charged her with Battery of Emergency Room Personnel/Healthcare Worker.
