Shreveport Police Arrest Two Felons for Gun Possession During Traffic Stop

Shreveport Police were proactively patrolling Vivian Street when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying an altered temporary license plate.

Officers made contact with the driver, Eric Stephens, and the passenger, Quincy Bogan. During the investigation, Officers determined that both men were armed with guns.

Further investigation showed that Stephens is legally not allowed to possess a firearm due to multiple felony convictions, including narcotics-related offenses, resisting an officer with force or violence, and aggravated assault with a firearm. He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Bogan also was not legally allowed to have a gun due to prior felony convictions, including simple burglary, theft of a firearm, and illegal use of weapons. He also has multiple prior arrests involving firearms. Bogan was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
