Shreveport Man Arrested After Firing a Stolen Gun

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 21-year-old Latraveon Shivers on multiple charges following an investigation into a shots fired incident on the 7200 block of Bethany Street.

During a traffic stop, officers discovered a stolen firearm in Shivers' possession. Further investigation revealed that Shivers is a convicted felon. As a result, Shivers has been charged with the following offenses:

- Illegal possession of a stolen firearm

- Illegal carrying of a weapon

- Possession with intent to distribute narcotics

- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Chief Wayne Smith and The Shreveport Police Department remain committed to strictly enforcing laws that prohibit felons from possessing firearms.

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
