Shreveport Police Arrest Fugitive Following High-Speed Chase
On October 30, 2024, Shreveport Police Department (SPD) officers arrested 41-year-old Quinton Hill, who had evaded arrest after a vehicle pursuit on October 8, 2024. Hill now faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated flight and narcotics-related offenses.
The incident began on October 8 at approximately 2:57 AM, when SPD officers attempted a traffic stop on a black Chevy Tahoe for a traffic violation at Via Street and Roberts Street. The driver, later identified as Quinton Hill, refused to stop, initiating a high-speed pursuit that continued north on Broadway past Hollywood Avenue, east on Tate Street towards Jewella Avenue, north on Jewella Avenue, and east on Pleasant Street towards Corbitt Street. The vehicle ultimately crashed near 2752 Murray Street.
Hill fled on foot and was able to temporarily evade capture. Officers discovered multiple suspected narcotics inside the vehicle, including suspected crack cocaine. Through continued investigative efforts, SPD identified Hill as the driver and pursued his arrest in the following days.
Chief Smith commends the dedication of the officers involved, highlighting that attempts to flee law enforcement are both dangerous and reckless. The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to holding individuals accountable and ensuring the safety of our community.
