On June 2nd, 2023, around 7:07 p.m. Shreveport Police Patrol Officers conducted a traffic stop at Hollywood Avenue and Kennedy Drive. Officers contacted Brandon Alexander (3-7-03) and Stepfone Breakfield (1-30-02) inside the vehicle. Officers found that both men were in possession of a firearm. Officers also located a large amount of narcotics inside the vehicle.

Further investigation into the matter revealed that Alexander was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior felony offenses.

Alexander was arrested on one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, Possession with intent to distribute Schedule One, and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Breakfield was arrested on one count of Possession with intent to distribute Schedule One and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

The firearms and narcotics were seized as evidence.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. Breakfield’s photo is not releasable due to his charges not being classified as a violent offense under LA RS 14:2.
