Shreveport Man Arrested In Connection With Violent Robbery
The Shreveport Police Department responded to an assault and battery call on November 15, at approximately 10:30 P.M. in the 1000 block of Prospect Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with a head wound, bleeding, and in need of immediate medical attention.
In response to this incident, officers quickly initiated an investigation that uncovered alarming details. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Dalton Simpson, allegedly brandished a firearm, threatening the victim before violently striking him in the head with the weapon, resulting in a significant injury. Dalton then took items belonging to the victim.
Dalton Simpson has been taken into custody and is now facing serious charges, including one count of armed robbery and one count of second-degree aggravated battery. The victim is expected to recover.
We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
