SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police Department and US Marshals Arrest Wanted Fugitive
On June 6, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m., members of the Shreveport Police Department and the US Marshals Violent Offender Task Force successfully located and apprehended 25-year-old wanted fugitive ShaMichael Sabbath. Sabbath was wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on October 14, 2020.
During the arrest, Sabbath was found to be in possession of a firearm. As a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms. Sabbath was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
- · Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- · Attempted Second-Degree Murder (related to the October 14, 2020 shooting)
- · Outstanding Warrant from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for Second Degree Battery and Obstruction of Justice
- · Outstanding Warrant from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for Aggravated Burglary and Battery of a Dating Partner with Child Endangerment
- · Outstanding Fugitive Warrant from Denton County, TX for Aggravated Robbery
