In the early hours of November 8, just after 2:00 AM, proactive patrol officers conducted a traffic stop at Doris Avenue and Jewell Avenue, where they contacted 30-year-old Chadrick Hudson. Hudson was in possession of both narcotics and a handgun, and officers soon discovered that he, too, is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms.
