End of an Era: Two Popular Shreveport Restaurants Close
Bad news in the restaurant business for Shreveport. 2 more local eateries have closed for good. This news has sparked huge disappointment on social media about the loss of two more popular dining options.
What Shreveport Restaurants Have Closed
Fans of Tejas Kitchen Bar Patio are sad to learn of the sudden closing of this unique dining spot. It has been open for about 10 years at the location where The Real Pickle used to be at Pierremont and Line Avenue.
Tejas was know for having great comfort dishes and amazing cocktails. The patio was also popular for the local crowd. But the food was so great. And at the top of that list was the Chicken Fried Steak. Folks also raved about the Chorizo Creamed Corn. I never got to try that one.
But Tejas is not the only restaurant shutting down for good. We also got news this weekend that Sonora Prime has also closed its doors for the final time.

Sonora Prime was located on Line Avenue and specialized in high-end Brazilian dining featuring specialty meats. This restaurant has only been open for a couple of years. Folks loved this spot for interactive, tableside Brazilian dining.
What Shreveport Restaurants Are Struggling
The glaring reason restaurants are battling to keep the doors open is cost. Prices for many of the items they serve have gone up dramatically. Many restaurants have raised prices to compensate, but there’s a fine line on that front. If the prices are too high, you lose customers. And that’s happened across the board. People are hesitant to eat out as often because of the prices.
But there is also a struggle to find workers. The labor force is a big problem for restaurants and many other businesses.
