On Saturday, Shreveport Police were called to Grimmett Drive to reports of a shooting that had just occurred.

When Police showed up to the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics before being taken to the hospital. The victim's injury was considered non-life threatening.

The victim was able to work through the pain, and told police that the man responsible for the shooting was Detavious Heads. Violent Crime Detectives showed up to the hospital where the man who was shot identified Heads as the shooter again.

SPD Detectives and K-9 Officers ran through the apartment complex looking for the shooter. Heads was found in his grandmother's apartment, and was arrested.

Heads was booked in to the Shreveport City Jail on the following charges:

· Attempted Second Degree Murder

· Felon in Possession of a Firearm

· Outstanding City Marshal Warrant – Trespassing
