Shreveport Police Seeking Third Armed Suspect After Car Chase

The Shreveport Police Department is till on the hunt for a suspect following a car chase in a stolen vehicle.

The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a chase that ended on Gorton Street, where the car crashed. After the crash, three people armed with guns exited the vehicle and tried to run. During the incident, one Officer fired their gun at the suspects.

One of the three suspects was quickly taken into custody and another was found later. A third suspect remains outstanding at this time. Multiple firearms were located during the investigation and arrests.

SPD launched a large-scale search effort, including the deployment of the Shreveport Police Department Drone Team and aerial assistance from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office helicopter. The second suspect was found attempting to hide in a nearby wooded area.

A third suspect remains on the run at this time.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. This remains an active investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
