
Shreveport Traffic Stop Leads to Gun and Drug Arrest
On Saturday (2/8/25), at 12:16 a.m., Shreveport Police Department officers pulled a man over at the intersection of Hollywood Avenue and Jewella Avenue.
Police saw a Chevrolet Camaro entering Hollywood Avenue from Broadway. Police stopped the car because the license plate wasn't properly displayed. The officers hit their lights and sirens, and the car safely came to a stop.
The driver was identified as Tadarius Russell. Officers saw a gun between the driver’s seat and the center console. For officer safety, Russell was asked to exit the vehicle and was arrested.
After a more thorough search of the car Police found the following:
· Approximately 3.5 grams of marijuana in a brown bag located on the passenger seat
· An extended magazine
· An open container of Monte Carlo in the cup holder
Tadarius Russell was arrested and charged with the following:
· Possession of a Narcotic
· Possession of a Firearm
· Traffic offenses
