Victim Named In Shreveport’s 32nd Homicide of 2024
A man shot and mortally wounded in the Eden Gardens neighborhood late Friday, June 28, 2024, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Jacoby Willis, 46, of Dallas, Texas, was talking to another individual at a residence in the 7200 block of Bethany Street when a family member heard several shots. The family member checked on Mr. Willis, who had been shot in the neck and was unresponsive. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his wound at 11:59 p.m.

Mr. Willis, the 35th homicide victim in Caddo Parish in 2024 and the 32nd in Shreveport proper in that time, was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.
Shreveport Police continue to investigate the shooting.
An autopsy was ordered.
