Vivian Shooting Involving Brothers Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured
VIVIAN, LA- Shooting over the weekend in Vivian, LA involving two brothers leaves one dead, and one injured
One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Vivian invvolving two brothers. Caddo Parish Sheriff's department received the call just before 9:30P to respond to a shooting at a home in the 700 block of North Hickory Street.
At least 15 units were dispatched. Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator told KTBS 3 News that the surviving brother was shot through the chest.
The Caddo Parish Coroner's Office released the following statement naming the gunshot victim.
A man shot and killed in Vivian late Sunday, September 10, 2023, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.
C'Aundre Anderson, 21, was shot outside his residence in the 700 block of North Hickory Street in the north Caddo Parish town just before 9:30 p.m. He was able to run into the house before he fell, mortally wounded. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The slaying, the 63rd homicide in Caddo Parish to date in 2023, remains under investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's office, to which further inquiries should be directed. An autopsy was ordered.
CPSO have identified a suspect, but no arrests had been made as of early Monday.
