Shreveport's Krewe of Centaur Float Loading 2025 With VIP Option

Mardi Gras season in Sheveport-Bossier is about to hit full stride starting this weekend. Two of the premiere Mardi Gras events in town will be happening, with more coming next weekend. Kicking off this first major weekend of Mardi Gras will be the Krewe of Centaur Float Loading Party.

The party starts at 6pm, with a special VIP program at 4pm. You can get all the timing details here. It takes place at the Krewe's den on Aero Drive in Shreveport (corner of North Market and Aero Drive).

That VIP option is PERFECT for Mardi Gras lovers. You get everything you want out of the Float Loading experience, without large crowds, or being rushed. VIPs will get the Parade Theme Specialty Beads, Royalty Specialty Beads, a meet-and-greet with this year's Royalty, plus guided tours of floats and the grounds. Every question you've ever had about what the floats look like on the inside, or what it looks like to build them, can all be answered with this VIP tour.

This VIP options is VERY limited, so don't wait to get your VIP tickets.

This event is open to the public, and welcomes in hundreds of Mardi Gras revelers to get up close and personal with the Krewe of Centaur floats and Krewe members. There will also be music, access to the dens where the floats are constructed, and specialty beads.

All of the floats will already be loaded with beads and throws, plus they will have their lights on and music playing. Some of the Krewe of Centaur floats even feature animatronic components, which you will be able to see much better at the Float Loading Party than when the float is rolling by on the route.

Not to mention...the event is free to the public. So its a full night of great family fun to celebrate Mardi Gras in Shreveport-Bossier.

You can easily make it a full night too, because there will be multiple food trucks on hand as well. These trucks will have a wide-range of options for everyone as well. In the past you've been able to get everything from tamales to donuts, and much more.
