It's been a rough season for New Orleans Saints fans. Sitting at 1-7, most of the hope for the year is gone. But that doesn't mean the Who Dat Nation stops watching. If you're a diehard fan in the Shreveport-Bossier City area, you're probably asking the same question you have to ask every single week...will we even get to see the game?

This has been a constant battle for Saints fans in the Ark-La-Tex. With the market being pulled in all directions, especially towards the Dallas Cowboys, getting the Saints game on local TV is never a guarantee. Well, for this week, we have good news for Saints fans.

Will the Saints Game Be on TV in Shreveport This Week?

Yes. According to the broadcast maps posted by 506Sports, the Shreveport-Bossier market is scheduled to receive the New Orleans Saints game.

The Saints are traveling to Los Angeles to take on the Rams. This will be a "late window" game, which means a 3:05 PM kickoff in Shreveport time. You can catch the game on FOX.

Since this is a late window game on FOX, you'll still get an early game at noon, just not on Fox. The early window game will only be on CBS this week in Shreveport. 506Sports reports that game will be the Indianapolis Colts visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

CBS will also have a late window game, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Buffalo Bills, so Saints fans will have something to flip over to if things get out of hand in LA.

What to Watch For: The Tyler Shough Era Begins

Honestly, for a 1-7 team, this might be the most interesting game of the year. The Saints have officially made a change at quarterback.

The Spencer Rattler experiment is over...for now. The team announced on Tuesday that they are handing the keys to rookie quarterback Tyler Shough.

This will be the first-ever NFL start for Shough, who the Saints took in the second round of this year's draft. He saw a little bit of action last week in relief, but this is the first time the team is his.

The Saints coaches are looking for any kind of spark to get the offense moving, and they're going to see if the rookie has it. Facing the Rams' defense on the road is a tough draw for your first start, but hey, at least it gives us a real reason to tune in. We're officially in "see what the young guys have" mode for the rest of the 2025 season.

Who Decides If Shreveport Gets the Saints or Cowboys?

This is the question that gets asked more than any other..and no, it's not the local folks at KSLA or KMSS making the call.

The decision on which games air in which markets is made by the NFL and the broadcast networks, meaning FOX and CBS. They have complex contractual agreements that determine who gets what.

Generally, FOX gets the rights to NFC games and CBS gets the AFC. When an NFC team (Saints) plays an NFC team (Rams), it's almost always going to be on FOX. The network then decides which game is the "main" game for each region.

Shreveport is in a tough spot because the NFL and FOX often see it as a Cowboys-first market, leaving Saints fans out in the cold. But this week, with the Saints playing in the late window...a slot the Cowboys often occupy, so the maps have worked out in Saints fans favor.
