Buc-ee’s To Open Newest Texas Store Early, Before Christmas

Amarillo, you won't have to wait very much longer for one of the best stores in Texas to open your area.

Just in time for the Holiday Travel Season, Buc-ee's has announced they will be opening their newest Texas Location well before the expected 2025 opening day that was previously announced.

The Buc-ee's in Amarillo has set a Grand Opening date of Monday, December 16 for the latest Buc-ee's location in Texas. Prior announcements didn't have the store opening until sometime in 2025. But instead, if you are traveling through or around Amarillo during you Christmas travels, you'll be able to stop in at Buc-ee's.

According to MySanAntonio.com, construction began on the massive new Buc-ee's location which checks in at 74,000 square feet. They also reported that the new Amarillo Buc-ee's will have 108 fueling stations and 24 electric charging stations. The new Buc-ee's is also supposed to fill roughly 200 jobs.

Of course Buc-ee's is much more than just a massive gas station. You can get get baked goods, BBQ (my go to is the BBQ Brisket Sandwich, regular or XXL), as well as fudge. They also have decor, Buc-ee's branding stuff, and of course a ton of snacks. They also have some of the best travel center bathrooms. Oh and don't forget about the beef jerky. So yes, it's going to be great that this new location is open in time for the busy travel season.

The new Buc-ee's in Amarillo is located at 9900 E. I-40.

Two other Texas Buc-ee's locations are in the works. One in Boerne and the other in San Marcos.
