Texas is home to a lot of famous locations.

Everyone has heard of The Alamo right? Well, of course it's right here in the Lone Star State. But that's not just the only well-known area.

To list all of them would simply take too much time, but thankfully there's a list of just a few you can see, which is right here. Of course, we'll only focus on one today, and it's the San Antonio River Walk. The area has itself a very long history, but that's not what is the topic of conversation.

Rather, the water in the area is what we'll talk about. What happened you ask? Well...somebody decided to swim in it.

Individual Swims In San Antonio River Walk, But Why?

The video of the moment was posted to Tik Tok. Many simply had one question: "What made this person do this?"

It is well documented that the water in the San Antonio River Walk is well...less than stellar. Reports have revealed that when the River Walk was drained for maintenance, they found items that you'd normally not want to see in any body of water. Also, swimming in water you know is unsafe is just simply not a good idea.

One commentator even stated that going to the ER was probably good idea, and another mentioned how the last time the water was drained was in January of 2024. So there's no telling how safe the water actually is at the time of writing. So what is the moral of the story?
