Women all across the country were asked to use one word to describe the men in their state, and in Texas, one word dominated and it's not so pretty!

A new survey by datingadvice.com titled From Loyal to Lazy: Survey Pinpoints the One Word Women Use to Describe Men By State, revealed what word women in Texas used to describe the men.

The survey was conducted in September of this year with an "online panel of 3,000 women based on age (18+), gender (female), and geography (United States). Internal data sources are used to obtain population data sets". They used a two-step process to ensure representativeness through stratified sampling and post-stratification weighting.

If you've ever noticed on online dating profiles, they ask you to describe yourself in so many words- many words that come up would be "honest", "caring", maybe even "funny"- but would the men in Texas describe themselves as "arrogant"?

"Arrogant" is the word women in Texas chose to describe the men in the Lone Star state!

If this seems like a man-bashing survey, it's far from it. The survey also found that words like "respectful" (in Georgia), "charming" (in Oklahoma), and "dependable" (in Hawaii), were used to describe the men. Additionally, the word "respectful" was the word most used to describe men in six states.

Too bad Texas had a not-so-flattering word to describe our men!

The survey also revealed that 75% of respondents said they believe that men from certain states or regions are no different from each other when it comes to dating and relationships; so I can assure you that there are definitely men in Texas who could be described as "respectful", "hardworking" and "dependable"!
