These days Jay Z has his hands in just about everything, and it looks like the "99 Problems" rapper will now be using his all-around savvy to guide a Broadway production to the big screen.

According to the folks at PlayBill.com, Hov is all set to be one of six producers responsible for bringing Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights to movie theaters. The Weinstein Company's Harvey Weinstein made the announcement at his pre-Oscars party on Sunday (Feb. 26).

At the time of the deal, Hov. told The Hollywood Reporter he was happy to be onboard. “I’m excited to tell stories from real-life prophets who, through their struggles, have changed the world for the better and others whose stories are filled with fantasy and delight," Hov explained.

He continued, "Harvey and David are visionaries, both of whom have done this time and time again. I’m already passionate about what we currently have in the pipeline, and I’m looking forward to discovering others.”

The Roc Nation boss began telling the stories of folks he's deemed "real-life prophets" back in January when he premiered his documentary TIME: The Kalief Browder Story at the Sundance Film Festival. That docuseries, which chronicles the tragic story of the wrongfully incarcerated Kalief Browder, was produced in conjunction with the Weinstein Television. The miniseries will premiere on Spike TV on March 1.
