Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Are Still Planning a Paris Wedding
Joe Jonas and new wife Sophie Turner still plan to have a big wedding in Paris even though they surprised everyone by getting married in Las Vegas last night.
In case you missed it, the couple tied the knot following the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday (May 1). Fans first realized something was going on when Diplo shared an Instagram video as he waited outside a chapel with Turner, who was wearing a wedding dress and veil, and Joe, Nick, and Kevin, who were all donning grey suits.

Then, the DJ started an Instagram Live feed, which not only featured an Elvis Presley impersonator, but also a performance by country duo Dan + Shay. Fans later got to see the Jonas Brothers singer and Game of Thrones star exchange their “I Do’s.”

Now, it turns out the pair still intend to have another ceremony so all their family and friends—including Turner’s BFF and maid of honor Maisie Williams—can be there, too.
“Joe and Sophie are a couple that loves to have fun and live in the moment, and that’s exactly what getting hitched in Vegas was,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “The couple does plan to have a more formal wedding with their family and friends, but this ceremony was just fun. Joe and Sophie are planning to get married in Paris later this year.”
Back in March, the actress told Glamour UK she’s planning an “intimate” celebration as opposed to Nick and Priyanka Chopra’s wedding in India. “We’re trying to keep [the wedding] as low-key as possible so it’s more of an intimate thing,” she revealed.
