Kanye West Declares Bill Cosby ‘Innocent’

Rapper Kanye West went on Twitter and made the following declaration: "BILL COSBY INNOCENT"

No one knows exactly what prompted him to make the statement, and his reps have yet to respond to the tweet.

Dozens of women have come forward accusing Cosby of rape and unwanted sexual contact, some accusations going back to the 1960s. Cosby has denied all charges.

Naturally, West's tweet was met wit a firestorm of controversy, including a response from comedian Sarah Silverman, who tweeted, "Kanye!! You can't be for real. FIFTY WOMEN. With nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy."

In "Facts", a song that was released in December, West name-checked the comedian with the line, “Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget names just like Steve Harvey?”
