Kate Gosselin and her 13-year-old twin daughters Cara and Mady made an appearance on Thursday's episode of "Today" and things quickly got, well, a little awkward.

The three were interviewed by "Today"'s Savannah Guthrie to try to change the overall perspective of the family after some negative press and Kate's divorce from ex-husband Jon Gosselin. But when daughter Mady was asked how her sibs were doing since the cancellation of TLC's "Kate Plus 8", stage fright apparently took over and she froze on camera.

Her sister, Cara, didn't do much better;when asked if viewers had the "wrong impression" of her family, she also sat in silence for an uncomfortably long time before Mady finally jumped in and replied, "I wouldn't say 'wrong.' I would say not the full, like, story. Like, a lot of people think that filming our show has damaged us, but it's only really helped. It's not really done anything [bad]."

Watch the entire uncomfortable exchange here.
