After hinting at something in the worksKelsea Ballerini and electronic pop duo the Chainsmokers have a brand-new collaboration to share. Readers can press play above to hear "This Feeling."

"They tell me think with my head / Not that thing in my chest / They got their hands at my neck this time," goes the chorus of "This Feeling." "But you're the one that I want / If that's really so wrong, then they don't know what this feeling is like."

Ballerini calls a track with the Chainsmokers her "dream collab." To Beats 1's Zane Lowe, the country star explains that she relates to and respects the duo because they're songwriters, too.

"When we sent her this song, it was like, she wrote us back right away and was like, 'I f--king love it. I'm in,'" recalls the Chainsmokers' Alex Pall. "Everything's been super fun ... It's just been great."

Adds Pall, "I feel like you look at her and, like, you smile -- like, she's like such a happy person."

"This Feeling" is the latest in a string of country crossover collaborations that have been released in recent months. Recent popular pairings include Maren Morris's song "The Middle," which she recorded with Zedd and Grey, and Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha's mega-hit "Meant to Be." The Chainsmokers' 2017 album Memories ... Do Not Open included an FGL duet called "Last Day Alive."

"Country music's not just like a traditional sound anymore; there's, like, so many different branches of it," Ballerini shares. "I think having these kind of collaborations, people that have that stigma in their head of, like, 'Oh, it's all about the truck,' you know, they're like, 'Oh, wait, I like this song. That's a country singer? Wait, let me check out more.' And it kind of opens the doors more, which is kinda sick."
