One thing that Louisiana can't seem to get enough of is our very own Lainey Wilson. Lainey was born and raised in Baskin, Louisiana. The town is so small it's considered a village. The population was 210 at the 2020 census, up from 188 in 2000. Lainey set her sights on Nashville and at 19 she left her small town of Baskin to chase her dreams. We love that a Country superstar was homegrown right in the Bayou State, if her looks don't give away her southern roots her thick country accent sure will rat her out every time.
