LaPlace Evacuees Need Help at Shreveport Shelter
Evacuated residents from LaPlace are in need of some essential items and we’ve been asked to spread the word. The shelter is at the old Sam’s Club on Jewella.
Items needed include new socks, underwear, flip-flops, t-shirts for men, women and children. We were told “evacuees have been in water since Wednesday.”
Folks home’s in LaPlace flooded when they were not expected to and have made their way to Shreveport.
You can drop off items at the front door and leave them with police.
