‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Introduces DC’s Isis in New Season 3 Trailer
We’ve barely cracked September, and already the Legends of Tomorrow are ready for October’s Season 3 premiere. New DC heroes and villains will join the historical figures run amok this year, as a fresh trailer debuts a first look at Tala Ashe as Muslim-American superhero Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a spin on DC’s Isis.
Following first footage from Comic-Con, The CW gave Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 a proper trailer to kick off the new time-turning adventures. And while the footage only offers a brief glimpse of Zari (who won’t used the name “Isis” for obvious reasons), we also get a look at Spartacus alum Simon Merrells moving up a notch as Julius Caesar himself, and new big bad Kuasa.
As for Zari Adrianna Tomaz, the character is described as a Muslim-American woman from the year 2042 and “grey hat hacktivist” who doesn’t realize that she has secret, latent powers derived from an ancient, mystical source. In the pages of DC comics, that mystical source is the Amulet of Isis, while Adrianna Tomaz was an opponent of Black Adam.
Elsewhere of Legends of Tomorrow Season 3, we know the David Sobolov-voiced Grodd will appear in some capacity, while it was confirmed from Comic-Con that Neal McDonough’s Damien Darhk would return as a series regular, despite Arrow Season 4 seemingly ending his existence for good. Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart will also return, despite Season 2 returning a time-removed version of that character to his proper place in history, and Billy Zane will appear in a titanic role as P.T. Barnum.
We’ll see more of Legends Season 3 before the October 10 premiere, so stay tuned.
