McKenzie Gill, a 17-year-old from Benton, was not expecting the reaction she got when she went to order her cake for her upcoming 18th birthday party. Did that really just happen?

With it being an election year, McKenzie is excited about the fact that she gets to exercise her right to vote for the first time. She is a Trump supporter and has chosen 'Trump 2016' as the theme for her birthday party. But when she and her mom went to Albertson's on East Texas Street in Bossier City, they were slightly taken back with the outcome of their order.

According to ksla.com, McKenzie ordered an American flag cake with the words 'Trump 2016' on it. But the lady behind the counter told her that she would make the flag cake but would not write 'Trump 2016.' McKenzie replied with:

"It's your job, we're not really going for your opinion on what you think of the candidates we were just wanting Trump 2016 on the cake."

Following the Facebook post and public reaction, Connie Yeates, a spokesperson for Albertson's issued this statement:

"We apologize to our customer in Bossier City for the situation regarding the cake that was requested. Our Bakery staff member misunderstood the training provided regarding copyrighted phrases, and incorrectly informed the customer we could not fulfill her request. We would be happy to provide the cake as the customer requested."
