Local Libraries Provide Free Lunches to Kids This Summer
Summer reading and summer feeding is on the menu at several branches of the Shreve Memorial Library. The library and Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana will be providing free, healthy lunches to kids 18 and under through July 31st.
The program is part of a partnership with the USDA to provide kids with healthy meals when school is out. The Summer Food Service Program will coincide with the 'Libraries Rock' summer reading program.
Below is the full list of times and locations where free lunch is being provided:
Atkins Branch – Monday, 11 a.m. to noon
Broadmoor – Monday through Friday, noon to 1 p.m.
Cedar Grove/Line Ave. – Monday through Friday, noon to 1 p.m.
David Raines – Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Gilliam – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Hollywood/Union Ave. – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 11 a.m. to noon
Hosston – Wednesday, Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Main – Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to noon
Means – Tuesday, Friday, 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Mooringsport – Monday through Friday, noon to 1 p.m.
North Caddo – Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to noon
North Shreveport – Monday through Friday, noon to 1 p.m.
Oil City – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Rodessa – Monday through Thursday, noon to 1 p.m.
Wallette – Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to noon
